About Manuel

I am from Spain, from Seville originally. I am a teacher and a musician as well as offering my services as a celebrant.

I can deliver ceremonies in English and Spanish, adding that touch of Spanish culture to your special day!

I decided to become a celebrant as it’s a fantastic journey to be a part of! Seeing a couple in love, celebrating their special day with all their loved ones. Particularly after covid, it has become even more meaningful!

Our ceremonies are personalised, unique and designed with each individual couple in mind.

Liz meticulously put together a questionnaire to find out as much about us as possible, really taking the time to get to know us and our journey. This resulted in a beautiful, thoughtful and personal ceremony that everyone commented on. The hand fasting ceremony we choose was also really beautiful. Liz offers a huge amount to her clients and you really can have such a unique experience.

On the day we were married by the wonderful Manuel, he even took the time to meet us in person a few months before the ceremony to connect with us, this meant on the day we had a friendly face to help anchor us on a very nerve wracking day. I was always completely confident that everything would be as we wanted.

Myself and my new husband were planning our wedding in Tarifa, Spain. Coming from Ireland, Liz Wilkinson’s services were highly recommended to us. We are so glad we hired Ceremonies in Spain for our wedding.

We had originally planned for a friend to conduct our ceremony but unfortunately they were unable to with only two months notice. Thankfully our wedding planner put us in touch with Liz from Ceremonies in Spain. She arranged for us to have a video call with bilingual ceremonist, Manuel from Seville and we got along very well with him. Neither Liz or Manuel were fazed by the timeframe which we were hugely reassured by! We found Manuel to be very warm and genuinely interested in finding out about us as a couple. He also has an incredible presence which makes him an excellent Master of Ceremony.

Both Liz and Manuel were a delight to work with and produced/ delivered a beautiful, highly personalised ceremony. I am British, of Scottish origin and my partner Sergio is Spanish. The ceremony therefore needed to be bilingual, and we also chose to include two of the lovely rituals Ceremonies in Spain offer: the Spanish Arras coins tradition and Scottish Quaich tradition. This all worked really well and we had lots of compliments!

We would not hesitate to recommend Ceremonies in Spain to anyone getting married in the Costa Del Sol.

Thank you so much Manuel & Liz! Liz was always there promptly answering all our emails. She wrote our ceremony and Manuel delivered it beautifully on the day. We wanted parts in Spanish to include our Spanish guests who don’t speak English.

Liz guided us to incorporate some Spanish readings and the Arras Coin ritual. So it was the perfect blend of English and Spanish. Everyone loved it and said how original it was.

We really felt it was about us as a couple. We would highly recommend Manuel and Liz to anyone looking for a ceremony. Our day was just perfect! Thanks again.
