Your Wedding in Spain will reflect how you feel about each other, how people see you, with your characters and personalities shining through. You might want to express your vows to each other in your own words. You might want to be formal, or thoroughly informal. You might want the special part of your wedding ceremony in Spain to be shared by many friends and family or a select few.
With a Wedding Blessing Ceremony there are no legal issues: it is not legally binding, as it is so difficult to get legally married in Spain (see legalities page) couples are choosing to deal with the legal paperwork in a registry office in the UK then coming out to Spain for their Wedding Blessing / Wedding Ceremony. Myself and my Husband chose this route as it was the simplest. We didn’t have anyone except 2 witnesses at the Registry Office in the UK. We then held what was for us our actual Wedding in Spain with 100 guests, we had the exchanging of rings and vows, signing of the register and I had the white dress and all the trappings of a Wedding.
This to us is our real Wedding Day, celebrated with our friends and family, and is the date of our anniversary which my husband regularly forgets.
Therefore, the beauty of it is; there are no legal ties to have your Wedding Blessing / Wedding Ceremony in Spain in a licensed building, thus you can hold your ceremony in a place which appeals to you – on a boat, in an Olive grove, on a beach, in a restaurant, in a Villa. Where you choose, with the guests you choose and the Ceremony you choose!
You might want people close to you to have particular roles. You'll probably want to choose readings and music which mean something to you, as a couple. Having a totally bespoke ceremony, celebrating your commitment to each other exactly where, when, with whom and how you want it to be enables you to do all this to make a truly beautiful and meaningful day.
I will help prepare and create your perfect Wedding Ceremony with you. I can suggest and help you choose your vows, readings, songs and music. I will then plan every aspect of your wedding in spain with you so you feel relaxed, confident and ready to really enjoy your special day.
My prices include:
Includes all the necessary planning, discussing and designing of your special Ceremony as many times as you require until you are totally satisfied. The cost also includes the Ceremony on the day.
Please contact me with any questions you have regarding your wedding in spain, or to reserve your Wedding Date.
Please read Booking conditions. Please be aware that some venues may incur extra costs for travel and accommodation.
For couples looking for an intimate Wedding Ceremony or Vow Renewal Ceremony. Maybe with just the two of you or a small gathering then you may want to consider the following package, which is also kinder on the purse strings!
Coverage of the venue, guests arriving, ceremony and photoshoot afterwards with your own professional Photographer.
All photos are delivered via an online gallery making it very easy to share with family and friends.
A suggestion of venues if you don't already have something in mind:
La Cupula Lounge, Benalmadena Pueblo Village (15 mins from Malaga Airport).
Castle, Benalmadena Pueblo.
Beach Location - ask me for advice if you're looking for something suitable near your accommodation.
At each location I would set up the decorated Altar table and silk flowers to enhance the already beautiful setting of your choice. I can provide cushions for guests if required (or seats in La Cupula). You would just need to turn up with your bouquet and/or button holes! (If you would like I can get a quote for flowers from our local florist).
This is situated in the Church Gardens in Benalmadena Pueblo, for more images and information please see my venue page.
Here I can hold the Ceremony in private in their outside Pergola or on a terrace within the gardens. Both have stunning views overlooking the coast.
There are stunning coastal views as a back drop for your Wedding photographs. After the ceremony there is the church plus church gardens with tropical flowers and small waterfalls, plus various stunning locations around the village (Benalmadena Pueblo) that the Photographer, with his local knowledge knows, to take shots of the happy couple.
After the photographs there are various pretty Spanish restaurants in the village where you can go for a drink or meal to celebrate. The Cupula Lounge restaurant opens from 6pm if you would like to eat there. It is available at any time during the day for your private ceremony.
Click here for more information about 'La Cupula Lounge'
or contact me to ask for a brochure and menus.
The castle is also set in the beautiful village of Benalmadena Pueblo, overlooking the sea. It has the look of a fairy tale castle and will provide a very stunning and original backdrop to your Wedding photographs. How many people can lay claim to having ‘been married in a Castle in Spain!!’
After the Castle the village with all its stunning spots is close by for further photographs if required and refreshments to celebrate.
(Please contact me for more details).
We are lucky enough to have a selection of sun kissed beaches along the coast line, depending on where you are staying. After oficiating at over 500 beach weddings I can help you with advice regarding the location, time of day and time of year. I will supply the decorated altar, cushions for small gatherings, etc. and optional extras include a variety of archways and flowers.
After the ceremony the Photographer would be able to capture some stunning beach shots.
I can recommend beaches depending on your requirements eg: if you would like a harbour in the background, or palm trees, or a more rocky setting or a simple sandy open beach.
For more information on this package or to secure your date please contact me.

As of July 2nd 2005, same sex couples can be married civilly in Spain. However, the same rules apply as with all Civil Wedding Ceremonies in Spain, and proof of residency is required. (see legalities page). Therefore many same sex couples choose to have a Humanist Wedding Blessing/Ceremony.

Celebrating the arrival of a new baby, a child or new step-children into your family and circle of friends is both a joyful and serious occasion. You are not only introducing them by name, you are also marking your commitment to their welfare and to them as significant people in your lives.
You might also wish to take the opportunity of including older children in a ceremony.
I will help you can plan the ceremony that is right for your family, your situation. It can be as short or as long as you like (although the attention span and patience of small children should be kept in mind!) You can choose the words in which you, as parents, want to express your hopes and promises.
You can decide whom you would like to have a special role in the ceremony – siblings, family or friends. You may also wish to choose Guardians, Guide-Parents or even ‘ungodly’ God Parents to act as supporting adults with a special interest in your child.
Many thanks for making our Daughters Naming Day celebration such a joyous occasion! You have been wonderful to deal with and made the arrangements for the ceremony really simple considering we were arranging it from the UK. All of our family and friends commented on the ceremony it felt very intimate which made emotions roll! A memorable service which we will always remember.
